There are 2 Churches in Orleton.
St George’s Church
St George’s Church, Orleton, has been a place of worship since the 12th century and was built from local sandstone.
Additions and alterations were made over the next two centuries.
It has some remarkable features including a highly decorated twelfth century font, Jacobean pulpit,
14th century churchyard cross and identifiable sculptured heads over the chancel arch.
A detailed plan of the churchyard is available in the church porch.
St George’s church services follow a regular pattern. You will find a warm welcome on a Sunday morning.
1st Sunday 11.00am Common Worship Communion,
2nd Sunday 9.15am Book of Common Prayer communion,
3rd Sunday 11.00am Morning Worship followed by coffee,
4th Sunday 9.15am Book of Common Prayer Communion.
Our friends from the Methodist chapel join us on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.
Seasonal variations will be advertised in the Grapevine magazine, available from the shop.
